Terry Watson, Building Maintenance

I am a lifelong resident of the south Eastside of Chicago and the Calumet region. My professional career was in the commercial construction industry with forty years of successful service in Chicago and the collar communities. I have been active for years in several community service organizations and in service for God. My wife Roseanna and I came to First United Methodist Church in 2004 and found this church family inviting, loving, dedicated to mission and bringing people to Christ. After retiring in 2012 I was presented with the opportunity to work as Building Manager, serving and sharing my knowledge and skills. My passion for the built environment and love of great architecture is satisfied and enriched by the facilities here at First Church. More importantly the interaction with the pastors and other staff combined with the love and strong faith of this congregation lifts my spirit and has raised me to a new and continuing journey in life. Praise and God's blessings.
